To start, thank you for visiting my website.  I offer my services mainly in the following fields:
  1. To federal, military and postal workers throughout the country, for employment, workers compensation, discrimination, harassment, disability, retirements, security clearances, courts-martial and discharges. Are you having problems with the Department of Labor and Office of Workers Compensation Programs?  Want to file for OPM disability retirement, or Social Security disability?  Do you have questions about EEO or MSPB, security clearances, etc.?  If so, I can help with those and other issues;
  2. To all California residents, I can help with the above, and wrongful terminations, discrimination and harassment under state and federal law.
  3. I also can assist you with probate, estate, trusts, conservatorships, and help you manage your estate.  Do you wonder if you really need a Living Trust instead of a Will?  Do you have a disabled child for whom you need a conservatorship, or to set up a Special Needs Trust?  Do you want to maximize the size of your estate for your heirs, and minimize taxes?  How much property or income can one have and still draw Social Security disability, SSI, or Medi-Cal benefits?  Should an elderly parent gift their house to his/her child to avoid probate and get Medi-Cal?  (NO!)
In summary, I have been an attorney since 1978, obtaining my law degree at Notre Dame Law School that year as an active duty Air Force officer.  I served on active duty for another 15 years as a judge advocate (military lawyer), and retired from active duty in July 1993 as a Lieutenant Colonel.  While still on active duty, I earned a Master of Laws (Labor Law) degree from The George Washington University Law in Washington, D.C.  After retiring from active duty, I returned to the San Francisco Bay Area and entered private practice in California with the law firm of Sheppard Mullin, defending major employers in state and federal courts, and before state and federal agencies, in employment claims of wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment and wage and overtime claims.  I moved to Healdsburg, in northern Sonoma County, in 1998 and opened my own practice.  I continued representation in labor and employment for employers and individuals, and also returned to probate and estate service which I had done throughout my AF career on behalf of active duty members, reservists, retirees, and their families.

I also serve as a trainer for Fair Measures, Inc., www.fairmeasures.com, leading workshops for managers of Fair Measures clients (including Sun Microsystems, Adobe, Novell, Oracle and Autodesk) on how to create a Respectful Workplace and Managing Within The Law, thereby also avoiding adverse action, discrimination and other harassment claims.
